The following programs are offered in partnership with Boston Reed College as part of a local Adult Education Regional Collaboration. These programs are designed to prepare participants for career training in healthcare. Most programs cost $2995 or less. Course fees include textbooks, classroom materials, externships (where applicable) and certificate of completion. Click here for more information. You are not too old and it is never too late!
Woodland Adult Education provides educational opportunities for adults who have not completed their high school education or who want classes in the following programs:
Woodland Adult Education is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). All teachers in classes supported by state apportionment have a valid California Teaching Credential. Personal enrichment classes are supported solely by the fee charged to students and do not require a credentialed teacher.
Placement Process
Any person 18 years of age or older may enroll in adult classes. Classes are open to anyone without regard to race, color, gender, religion, ancestry, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, physical handicap, political affiliation or belief. Persons under the age of 18 may be eligible in certain circumstances; permission to enroll may be obtained following an interview with the Principal. All High School Diploma, GED and Skills Review students must attend High School Orientation and meet with an advisor before starting class.

Graduate Count 2010-2011For 2010-2011 Woodland Adult Education had 115 High School Diploma graduates 123 GED graduates Congratulations to all of you for your hard work. We are very proud of you! We are Energy Stars!13 of our WJUSD schools, and the district office, have just been awarded the ENERGY STAR! That means that, as far as energy goes, these buildings perform in the top 25% of all schools nationwide! Plaques were awarded to site Principals during the regular Board meeting on December 9, 2010 with coverage provided by KCRA-3. Their story can be seen here (link to external website used with permission from KCRA-3). It's nice to get some outside recognition for our efforts. Woodland Adult Education's rating is included with Douglass Middle School, so that is why we were also honored. Please see the press release here for more information. Keep up the great work!
